What we keep, and why.

brunei.app, in Brunei Darussalam, runs this site and is responsible for the data described here. If you have a question, please reach us through the contact form.

The contact form collects your name, your email address and your message, and nothing else. If you arrive from a link about a subdomain or a product, the first line of the message mentions it; you are welcome to edit it.

By sending the form, you let us use these details as described on this page. You may withdraw that permission at any time.

Your message travels over an encrypted connection to our website, which passes it to an email delivery service. The service delivers it to our inbox, with your address set as the reply-to so that we can answer you directly.

The website itself keeps no copy. There is no database, and our server never logs names, email addresses or messages.

We use your details to reply to you. If a subdomain lease or a partnership follows, we also use them to carry that out. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we never sell, rent or trade your data or use it for advertising.

We also count how many messages arrive and their topic, never what they say.

We delete messages from our inbox 12 months after our last exchange. If a subdomain lease or a partnership follows, we keep what we need for as long as it lasts.

To keep spam out, the form limits how often it can be sent and uses a bot check from a third-party security service. That service sees your IP address and browser details when the form loads. Nothing from the check is kept with your message.

No cookies, no profiles. We count page views, recording the page, the referrer, and the browser, device type and country. We see totals, not people.

The site shows no ads or tracking pixels, and its fonts are served from the site itself. Our host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, so that the site runs and stays secure.

Only the services that run the site and its email: our hosting provider (which also counts page views), an email delivery service, our email inbox, and a security service for the bot check on the form. Each handles your data only as far as it needs to. These services may process data outside Brunei Darussalam, and the email delivery service keeps a delivery record for a limited time under its own policy.

You are welcome to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to withdraw your permission. Please use the contact form; we usually reply within a week.

When we change this notice, we update the date at the top of the page.
